Autumn colour in Denzell Gardens Altrincham
I went to Denzell Gardens in Altrincham this morning in the hope there was enough spectacular colour left on the trees. I was not disappointed. It was a riot of vermilion, yellow, orange, gold and many shades of green. It was the sort of day I could have spent hours simply taking photographs (I know I need to get a life but I love what I do).
There were lots of people walking their dogs and a lady started talking to me and told me she had a Maple planted in the gardens in memory of her previous black Labrador. We got talking about my approach to photographing dogs and she liked the idea of me wanting to photograph the relationship between the dog and the owner rather than a straight forward portrait. I asked her if I could take some shots of her dog and she said yes so we wandered off to a leafy lane I knew and you can see the results below. I hope you agree the colours definitely make the shots something special.
